The amount of extra work involved for Hereford United as a result of Saturday's League One match against Leeds being postponed must be most unwelcome.
It's bad enough for any game to be postponed but when it is all ticket that must be twice as bad.
Luckily postponements at Edgar Street are very rare. Just two others in the last eight seasons. One against Telford, also at New Year, and one against Dagenham when part of the Meadow End roof blew off.
Hopefully not too many supporters who had purchased tickets for Saturday will require a refund but, for whatever reason, some will not be able to get to Edgar Street on February 17th and will want their hard earned cash returned.
Meanwhile Yeovil's game against Scunthorpe due to take place at Huish Park tomorrow evening has also been postponed. Again due to a frozen pitch. The match has been re-scheduled for next Tuesday, 13th January.
The Somerset club don't appear to have a refund policy but allow supporters who can't get to the rearranged fixture the possibility of exchanging their ticket for one on a different day.
This from Ciderspace:
(Yeovil) Supporters Liaison Officer Sara Bradley has provided the following information regarding ticketing that will be relevant once the game has been rearranged:
1) If supporters are able to attend the rearranged fixture, the tickets they have purchased for tomorrows match can be used for the rearranged fixture.
2) Supporters who are unable to attend the rearranged fixture can exchange their ticket for any forthcoming home match at Huish Park.
It saves the club from the hassle of having to give refunds and might be an idea worth considering at Edgar Street.
