Sam Gwynne scored Hereford United's reserves only goal in their 2-1 defeat against Cardiff City reserves according to the Western Mail. The game took place at the Cardiff Athletic Stadium yesterday.
McPhail and Scimeca were at the heart of some sweet passing moves which left Hereford struggling to earn possession thanks to the accuracy and movement of the home players.
City dominated the first half and led 2-0, but they faded after the break. Eddie Johnson, after two minutes, and Scimeca, from a first half free-kick, scored for the Bluebirds, while Sam Gwynne replied.
Johnson smashed a shot against the bar, while teenage goalkeeper Erwin Sak saved superbly from visiting striker Bradley Hudson-Odoi.
Hereford Squad: Veiga, Macleod, Jackson, Beckwith (cap), Edwards, Gwynne, Smith, Easton, Hudson-Odoi, Johnson and Jones.
