It seems a long time ago since he came to Hereford United but former loan player Ade Akinbiyi is in a list of Football's Top Ten Journeymen as published in today's Daily Mail.
The article was prompted by Craig Bellamy's move to Manchester City who become his 8th club. However there is no mention of another former, and more recent, Bull Trevor Benjamin. He's now at his 19th, or is it 20th, club Wellingborough.
Akinbybi came to Edgar Street in January 1994 on loan from Norwich. As with many loans, the idea was for him to gain match experience.
His debut was against Crewe at Edgar Street on January 22nd. However that day the Bulls lost 2-1. He played just four games for Hereford United scoring two goals in his short stay.
Later in his career he was transferred from Wolves to Leicester for £5M.
Topping the Mail list is Steve Claridge who played for 19 clubs and scored more than 300 goals on route.
