Worcestershire cricket club have released their latest figures which show a record £359,856 profit for the last year. This is said to be their highest ever profit. It is more remarkable given the recent flooding problems of their New Road ground which is close to the River Severn.
Much of their income comes from off-pitch activities, sponsorship and donations.
65% of their next season income is said to be already in place through television and international cricket.
One interesting sponsor is Advantage West Midlands who are reported by the Worcester News to have put in £100,000 over two years. The club has also received a £55,000 donation from the National Sports Foundation.
Which begs the question if Advantage West Midlands can help out Worcestershire cricket club, then why not Hereford United football club. With 'Advantage' being involved in the Edgar Street Grid, shouldn't the Bulls be speaking to them?
