Bury manager Alan Knill has spoken of his delight in signing Wayne Brown, the former Hereford United goalkeeper.
Speaking to the Lancashire press Knill said the clubs decision to sign a top class keeper has been 'vindicated'.
“We needed someone who knew what it took to get promotion,” he said. “Browny fitted the bill and he has been tremendous since he came in.
“You have seen in the last few games how important he is to us. He has been outstanding.
“He had a little dip in form after a problem with his knee – he wasn’t moving as well as he wanted – but he is experienced enough to let it pass and get on with it.
“That’s what you get from him, he doesn’t let little things bother him.
“He has got past that now and you’ve seen from his performances in the last few weeks. He’s a class act.”
