News Round Up

Several newspapers are predicting that Swindon will name former Walsall boss Richard Money as their new manager in the next few days. The current Newcastle academy manager left the Saddlers in April after they failed to make the League One play-offs at the first attempt following promotion. Crewe will start interviews this week with former boss Steve Holland expected to become Stoke's academy boss.

Northampton have been told their redevelopment plans for Sixfields will have to wait. The value for use of the Sixfields site as housing has dropped from £2million to £600,000, blowing a hole in the financial plans, while other ongoing projects mean the local council will not allow any new retail development until 2026. Northwich have been reported to the FA for failing to pay Telford their share of the gate from their FA Cup match.

Accrington keeper Kenny Arthur played the second half against Lincoln on Saturday with a damaged kidney. He passed blood at half time and paramedics were called, but opted to play the second half. After completing the game he was rushed to hospital, and is due to be released today. Weymouth will enter Administration - or worse - after only 800 fans watched their 'marquee' home match with Oxford. Owner Malcolm Curtis says current debts of £150,000 will not be covered out of his pocket, claiming to have already ploughed £700,000 into the club.
