Weymouth's owner Malcolm Curtis has cancelled all direct debits and standing orders at the bank with the club apparently running out of cash. The Supporters Trust has declined to put money into the club with a statement reading: 'as all that would happen is it would fall into the big Curtis black hole', preferring instead to use the money to pay for the team's coach travel as the coach company were one of those to be refused payment.
A petition to wind up Northwich has been deferred after they agreed a payment plan with tax officials. The winding up petition against the owners of their ground was also delayed after the papers were not served in time. Stafford's eight contracted players and staff - including Steve Bull - have been told the wage cut will be as much as 70%, while the non-contract players will be asked to play for free. They expect just £40,000 in gate money from their 12 remaining home games, which will need to cover five months wages.
