Bulls Downed But Not Without Effort

The Bulls will be kicking themselves after missing several chances to spring a surprise at the Galpharm Stadium in today's League One match, going down 2-0 to Huddersfield.

After enduring sustained pressure in the first half the Bulls came out for the second the stronger side but, after Andy Williams and Lionel Ainsworth missed good chances in quick sucession, Huddersfield took the lead through Nathan Clarke shortly after Williams was denied a penalty.

Coach John Trewick was sent to the stands for berating the fourth official over the penalty shout, with the BBC Hereford & Worcester co-commentator, ex-Bull Matt Baker, deeming it to be a 'stonewall penalty'. Gary Roberts scored a second shortly after to effectively end the Bulls' hopes after an encouraging display.
