Seven Points would be Acceptable says Turner

Graham Turner has been telling BBC Hereford and Worcester that he is going to take the next three matches in isolation from the rest of the fixtures. Usually he sets the players a points target for blocks of six games.

"I think seven points would be acceptable to us, five would not be a disaster meaning winning one and drawing two," said the Hereford United manager.

"In a meeting (yesterday) morning one of the players said we were capable of taking all nine points.

"I like that confidence and we hope to take that into the games."

Turner will be without Sammy Igoe for tomorrow's game at Darlington.

"Very early on in the game against Chester he got a knock on the ankle. It was a little bit swollen at half-time but he wanted to carry on. Eventually we brought him off.

"He won't be fit for this weekend. A little bit doubtful for Tuesday as well but by the time the Peterborough comes around he should be okay."

Simon Johnson is expected to start in place of Igoe.

Meanwhile Turner has also spoken to the Worcester News about tomorrow's match.

"We have got a good record away from home and against top-of-the-table sides.

"Despite a couple of recent results, there's no reason why we can't go up there with confidence.

"Darlington have not had the best of runs recently, so their confidence could be a bit fragile.

"It's a big ground and there won't be too many people in there so the atmosphere will be a bit strange.

"We have got to go there and play as well as we can do."
