News Round Up

Grimsby have started planning for next season, releasing captain Justin Whittle and giving striker Danny North a new two year deal. 37 year old Whittle has had limited opportunities since the turn of the year while 20 year old North, a product of their youth team, is top scorer this season with ten goals.

Rotherham's players will face a second month of wage deferrals as their Administration continues. Administrator Jeremy Bleazard is in talks with the PFA over the move that he claims is necessary to keep the club afloat in the short term. Chesterfield boss Lee Richardson has denied speculation linking him to the vacant Huddersfield job.

Aldershot goalie Nikki Bull is reconsidering his future after talks with boss Gary Waddock. The 26 year old, who has clocked up over 200 games in six years at the Rec, announced he would leave - no matter what - last October. Leeds' tribunal over their 15 point deduction will start on Wednesday.

Huddersfield are following Bradford's example, and dramatically slashing Season Ticket prices for next season to celebrate 100 years of the club. Adult season tickets will be on sale for as little as £100, with kids tickets no more than £85 until May 23rd.

Bournemouth's new owners are already falling apart. Marc Jackson, who spearheaded the group's bid but had no financial input to the consortium, has been frozen out by the four new owners. Jackson is now threatening legal action against them, claiming they agreed to let him run the football side of the club.
