Peterboro are expecting striker Craig Mackail-Smith to be back in contention for Saturday's match at Edgar Street.
The former Dagenham man has been out for a month since limping out of the top two clash with MK Dons after half an hour, but the 18 goal forward hopes to have overcome the sciatica problem in his back:
"I have been working hard in the last few weeks to get myself fit. I did a lot of running last week and joined in with the rest of the lads in training on Monday. Hopefully I can get through this week without any problems and be in contention for a place on Saturday.
"It was hard to be on the sidelines against Stockport County, but the lads are still confident and we are looking forward to the weekend trip to Hereford and hopefully we can get the right result to secure promotion."
The Posh will secure promotion on Saturday at Edgar Street if they win, and Stockport lose at home to MK Dons.
