Bulls fail to win Groundman's Award

Considering the vast improvement to the playing surface at Edgar Street and the plaudits given by manager Graham Turner to the groundsman, it is perhaps disappointing to report that Shrewsbury have won the 'Groundsman of the Year' award for League Two.

The groundman at MK Dons and Macclesfield were both highly commended.

Meanwhile in other news this afternoon Richard Money has resigned as manager of Walsall.

Former Bull Tamika Mkandawire missed out on the player of the season award at Leyton Orient. However he won both the Captain's and Merit Awards on the night.

"It is flattering to win these awards, and on the whole I've been very pleased with how the season has gone here at Orient other than the injury," said Mkandawire.

"While I'm going to be 25 in the summer, I still feel I can progress as a player and hopefully next season we can push on and have a real crack at trying to secure promotion."

Finally two Grimsby players will miss the final game of the season at Hereford. Peter Till has a knee injury and Gary Jones is to have surgery on an ankle.
