Bury are the subject of a takeover bid after former player Wayne Entwistle told the local press that he had formed a consortium. The 49 year old, who finished playing for the club in 1988, claims to have funds in place to takeover the club and has already inspected the accounts.

Accrington goalkeeper Kenny Arthur will miss several months after breaking his leg in Tuesday's win over Bradford. The Scot has been ever present this season. The club also lost loan signing Ian Craney during the game to a hamstring injury, but he is only expected to miss a couple of weeks. Darlington have approached Hull over the availability of former England forward Michael Bridges. They face competition from a number of clubs, with Preston being front runners. The club have signed Corrin Brooks-Meade from Fulham as goalkeeping cover.

Northwich Victoria are up for sale after controversial chairman Mike Connett admitted defeat in his bid to win over fans after less than 500 turned up for Tuesday's match with Kidderminster. Connett has been repeated accused of influencing team selection and the departure of popular manager Steve Burr in the summer was blamed on the chairman. If no buyer is found the club is likely to fold as it is understood to have large debts. Connett owns the ground, and the whole nine acre site, through a seperate company.

Grays defender Jamie Stuart has been arrested and questioned by Police after York striker Chris Beardsley was left with a broken jaw following an off-the-ball incident in a game ten days ago. Police are appealing for witnesses. Rochdale have signed Marcus Holness from Oldham on loan. The 18 year old defender has signed until December.
