Drab game with little excitement

There was little to excite the Hereford United supporters who turned out to watch this evenings game at Edgar Street.

Although the Bulls had 56% of possession they only had five shots on target, whereas Yeovil had eight shots on target..

Hereford's Chris Taylor was booked near the end of the game for unsporting behaviour.

The gate was 1859, lower than for the Carling Cup game against Yeovil back in August when 2085 attended.

However given the interest in the Paint Trophy, the gate may be considered reasonable and after expenses both clubs will receive about £4,000 from the gate.

Meanwhile Hereford's opponents on Friday evening, Chester City, went out at Carlisle 4-2.
