Both Graham Turner and John Trewick watched last Friday's game between Chester and Morecambe. The Bulls travel to Christie Park for a League Two match next Saturday.
"We watched Morecambe last night (Friday) at Chester," Trewick told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"They've got a good shape in what they do. They've got some good players, some dangerous players.
"We know we've got to go up there and really work for a result if we're going to get one. We'll certainly be trying for three points."
Hereford United supporters will be able to see how Craig Stanley is coping with life in League Two. Stanley was a regular member of the Bull's squad in their last season in the Conference, but despite reportedly being offered a further contract by Graham Turner he chose to link up with Morecambe.
As of this morning Morecambe are one place above Hereford in the League.
