Hereford United join the Johnstone Paint Trophy in the second round this season with a home-tie against Yeovil which will probably be played on October 9th.
There will also be no extra-time in drawn matches in the Trophy this season. Instead, matches will be decided by penalty shoot-outs at the end of 90 minutes.
Clubs have also made a renewed commitment to fielding full-strength teams throughout the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Under the competition's rules, clubs will be required to include in their starting line-up a majority of the 11 players that have made most starting appearances in first team games this season.
Already some clubs are offering special deals to entice supporters to the cup-ties.
One such club is Lincoln who are drawn at home to Hartlepool.
Under-16s will be allowed to gain free admission to the above game provided they are accompanied by a full-paying adult. Each full paying adult (entrance costs £10) can obtain a maximum of two free child tickets.
They have also decided to start the game at the earlier than usual time of 7.15pm to try and encourage more families to go to the match.
