Help Macmillan - Create a Huge Stir

There are 46,000 good reasons to hold a coffee morning to support the Macmillan Renton Appeal. That's the amount of money that was raised by the people of Herefordshire at last years World's Biggest Coffee Morning. This years coffee morning takes place on Friday 28 September, but if you can't hold it on that day, hold one any day.

Fundraising Manager Ron Davies says:

"We know that MCS stands for Macmillan Cancer Support but it also stands for Make Coffee Special, and that's what we're asking you to do on 28th September."

Macmillan Cancer Support's World's Biggest Coffee Morning takes place on Friday 28th September. It's easy to hold a coffee morning, whether it's just for 2 or 22. So please "Make the time, To Make the coffee, To Make money for the Macmillan Renton Appeal to build a state-of-the-art cancer unit in Hereford. Nationally some football clubs are supporting the 'Coffee Morning' which is taking place all over the country. One is Chester City.

'Macmillan Cancer Support have got together with Chester City FC this week to launch their flagship fundraising event, The Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning, 2007. Together with the fundraising team, they are supporting the need for new Coffee Morning Hosts within the local area, and have even donated four tickets to the home game on 27th October 2007!'

Sarah Smith, Commercial Manager for Chester City Football Club is really happy that the team is behind Macmillan and the event:

"Chester City FC are proud to support the Macmillan Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning 2007. The work Macmillan Cancer Support does within the community is invaluable to many families and individuals who are affected by Cancer.
