Bulls' Away Form Best In League

With this afternoon's three goal defeat of Morecambe, Hereford United are the only side unbeaten away from home in League Two.

Already they have scored seven goals on their travels and only conceded one.

If home the home form was as good the Bulls would be well out in front of the rest of the pack.

Top of League Two:

1 Darlington 6 9 14
2 Chesterfield 6 7 14
3 Shrewsbury 6 5 13
4 Chester 6 6 11
5 Hereford 6 5 11
6 Milton Keynes Dons 6 7 10
7 Bradford 6 1 10
8 Wycombe 6 0 10

This afternoon the turning point in the game in favour of the Bulls came after former Bull Craig Stanley was surprisingly subbed by Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy. Until then the 150 or so Hereford supporters (later confirmed as 235), out of a gate of 2949, had watched a uninspiring game.

Morecambe will probably feel that the final score didn't reflect the game as they were credited with 57% possession against 43% for the Bulls, but it's goals that count in the end and the Bulls scored three out of their eight shots on target.

One disappointment was that captain Karl Broadhurst was booked early in the game. He now has four yellow cards - one more and he'll miss a game.
