Brady works for B'ham but supports Arsenal

The lady running Birmingham has upset Hereford United and their supporters with her statement about how little she wanted to charge supporters to watch next Tuesday's Carling Cup game, but nevertheless there's little doubt she's a very successful business woman. This profile is from Wikipedia.

Karren Brady (born April 1969) is a British broadcasting and sport business manager.

She is best known for being the managing director of Birmingham City Football Club. She was the first woman to hold such a high-level post in the top flight of English football having been appointed in 1992, when only 23 years old. She was responsible for its flotation in 1997 becoming the youngest Managing Director of a UK plc in the process.

She is also a non-executive director of Channel 4 television, has a seat on the board of Sport England, is chairman of Emap's Kerrang digital radio station and is a non-executive director of Mothercare.

She is married to Canadian footballer, Paul Peschisolido. The couple have two children, daughter Sophia and son Paolo.

On February 3, 2006, at the age of 36, she underwent brain surgery to remove an aneurysm from which she has since fully recovered and has resumed her normal duties.

Despite being a long-serving director of Birmingham City, Karren Brady is actually an Arsenal supporter.

In 1995, she was voted the 98th sexiest woman in the world by the readers of FHM magazine.

Karren Brady was in 2006 named Cosmopolitan magazine's Woman of the Year, the mother of two from Solihull, England was also named in the category of 'Woman Who Has Changed The World'.

Brady appeared as a celebrity contestant on Comic Relief Does The Apprentice in March 2007, in order to raise money for Comic Relief.
