Saddle up for Walsall

The history of Walsall FC goes back as far as the late 1880’s and they have had several grounds along the way. The early days were spent at The Chuckery, Wood Green Oval and West Bromwich Road before settling at Hillary Street/Fellows Park in 1901 where they remained until 1990. Currently, the Saddlers reside at The Bescot Stadium, which is less than a mile from Junction 9 of the M6. The Bescot is an 11300 capacity all seater stadium which houses visiting supporters in the Homeserve Stand behind one end. The Homeserve has a capacity of around 2000 and admission costs £18.00 on the day with concessions at £12.00. However, earlybird tickets with a reduction of £2.00 each can be purchased direct from Walsall FC on 0870 442 0442.

FUNBUS Not travelling….all going by train!!

TRAINS run frequently from Birmingham New Street on the Stafford line. Take care to get off at Bescot not at the main Walsall station.

REFRESHMENTS are available at the stadium, which offers catering kiosks at either end of the away end. Limited access to the Saddlers Club is also permitted before and after the game although this depends on numbers. Otherwise, The King George V in Wallows Lane is the nearest to the ground but does get very busy closer to kick-off time.
