Good crowd expected at Edgar Street

The biggest gate of the season to date is a distinct possibility at Edgar Street this afternoon when Hereford United take on Swindon Town.

So far the best attendance was on Boxing Day when 5201 saw visitors Bristol Rovers draw 0-0 with the Bulls, but with Swindon expected to bring around 1600 to 1800 supporters the gate today could be slightly higher.

Both sets of supporters are advised to get to the ground in good time.

Meanwhile there will be a strong presence of police in the Edgar Street area this afternoon in case of any trouble between rival so-called fans.

Finally Swindon striker, Christian Roberts, has played at Edgar Street for Hereford United. He had a short spell on-loan from Cardiff City in 1999 when he made nine appearances and scored two goals.

"I am going back to one of my old clubs this weekend but that's of no relevance to me - I want to do a job for the team and concentrate on getting the win we all want," he commented.

Swindon may give late fitness tests to Barry Corr (back) and Lukas Jutkiewicz (ankle) ahead of kick-off.
