Police praise fans at Shrewsbury

Police have praised fans from both Hereford United and Shrewsbury Town after a virtual trouble free last Saturday.

Chief Inspector Martin Whitelegg of Shrewsbury Police praised the conduct of fans and said they behaved very well. Two people were arrested for public order offences following the game.

What has six cars, two vans and at least 28 police?.....yes Hereford United fans from the first train walking to the Meadow last Saturday!

Shrewsbury Town vice-chairman Keith Sayfritz told the Shropshire Star:

"We had the fourth highest gate in the FA Cup on that day which is credit to our fans and to Hereford, who brought a good number with them."
