Loan Signings Allowed After Transfer Deadline

It now appears that the Conference has successfully negotiated some leeway with FIFA over the newly imposed Transfer Window.

The BBC website quotes Liam Daish, Gravesend manager, as still looking for a loan striker after the window closed - apparently confirming that a deal had been done. Signs of a deal being sought with FIFA appeared as early as June when, at the Conference AGM, Chairman were asked to keep quiet on the situation until a deal had been struck. However, there has been no official announcement on the situation from either the Conference or the Football League, who were also seeking a compromise on the situation.

In other Conference news, Stevenage have signed Australian striker Keiron Deane, 19, who spent some time non-contract with Chester without breaking into the senior side. Also, conferencefootball.tv is showing another live game tonight with Kidderminster vs Canvey (7.45pm).
