Speaking in today's Non League Paper Morecambe Manager Jimmy Harvey said of his side - "The boys will go home disappointed but they can feel happy with their effort and commitment and their performance. I think the afternoon was summed up by the way our supporters stayed behind for 10 minutes after the end clapping the players and singing. We played extremely well and dominated for long periods, on another day we would have gone on and won the game. Hereford were fortunate to get a result but in terms of the performances they have produced over the last couple of seasons, although they have got a couple of players out, I thought they were a million miles off that today."
In comparison, Graham Turner was happy with the result - "Under the circumstances that was a big result for us as Morecambe will certainly be up there at the end of the season. It was vital that we got a win today but given the circumstances, that we could not put out five substitutes with six of the squad missing through injury including some senior players, we have done extremely well. Six clean sheets in eight matches is a terrific record and we have said often enough that it is the 1-0 wins which gain you promotion. It's nice when it's all flowing but we have had a really hard game today and showed determination and resilience."
