Lee Boylan, the current Conference top scorer, has undergone an operation to cure a groin injury and is likely to miss the next four to six weeks - including the HUFC vs Canvey match on October 1st. Boylan, 27, has scored 169 goals in four years at Canvey and gained England semi-pro honours in the summer. He has scored 19 goals in 30 Conference appearances since Canvey's promotion in 2004.
Another player under the knife is Woking's Ian Selley. The 31 year old former Arsenal midfielder had a hernia operation this week and is expected to miss a month.
