It's good to be playing every week
Tamika Mkandawire has recently cemented his place in the Hereford United team by starting in all of the Bulls last ten matches.
After a shaky start to the season, firstly with an injury and then with a three match ban, Mckandawire has shown some excellent form and has been Bulls News' match of the match several times recently.
Interviewed by the Evening News before leaving for Scarborough yesterday, Mkandawire said:"It's good to be playing every week. I'm happy at the moment and just want to play as often as I can.
"At the start of the season, I had a hamstring which kept me out for a few games. It's never nice watching from the sidelines. I got back into the side but then got sent off (against Burton) and had to miss another three games.
"That put me back a bit. I just wanted to get back into the team and stake my claim. I've now played the last 10 games which is great.
"There is so much pressure to keep my place in the side. There used to be one of us sitting out when we played three at the back, now it's two sitting out because we are playing 4-4-2. We are all good defenders and it must be hard for the gaffer to choose.
"I've never been to Scarborough before. We beat them earlier in the season 1-0 and we are good enough to beat them again. It's going to be a hard game and everybody is confident. We know that we've just got to go there and try our best.
"We've got to pick up as many points as we can in order to catch Barnet. It's all about keeping the momentum going."
