Farnborough in High Court next week

Farnborough Town face another hurdle when they are expected to be in the High Court next Wednesday.

In the High Court of Justice (Chancery Division)
Companies Court. No 5737 of 2004

In the Matter of FARNBOROUGH TOWN FOOTBALL AND
SOCIAL CLUB LIMITED
and in the Matter of the Insolvency Act 1986

A Petition to wind up the above-named Company of Cherrywood Road, Farnborough, Hampshire GU14 8UD, presented on 17 September 2004 by Alan Simon, of Langley & Partners, whose address is Langley House, Park Road, East Finchley, London N2 8EX, as Supervisor of a Voluntary Arrangement to which the Company was subject, will be heard at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London WC2A 2LL, on 15 December 2004, at 10.30 am (or as soon as the Petition can be heard).
Any person intending to appear on the hearing of the Petition (whether to support or oppose it) must give notice of intention to do so to the Petitioner or his Solicitors in accordance with Rule 4.16 by 1600 hours on 14 December 2004.

The Petitioner?s Solicitor is Simon Marc Engelsman, Butcher Burns, Beaumont House, 47 Mount Pleasant, London WC1X 0AE.

It is understood the owners of Farnborough are to contest the petition, but postings on their website suggest that once again the club could be in more trouble.

At least the ground is not owned by developers. The local council lease it to the football club.
