Bulls keep Bees in check
Hereford United and Barnet draw 1-1 this afternoon at Edgar Street in a highly entertaining match. Although the Bees scored after five minutes through Grazioli, David Brown equalised a few minutes later.
Interviewed on BBC Hereford amd Worcester afterwards Brown said it was a good game.
"It was a very good performance especially in the first half; we created a lot of chances and should have won the game.
"Grazioli scored after five minutes but I think he was offside. The lads in the dressing room have discussed it and we all agree that he was two yards offside. But that the way it goes and it was good to get back into the game so soon after.
"After the two cup games the lads are playing with a lot of confidence. We didn't sit back and think we are going to get beat here. And we got the equaliser a couple of minutes later. That was the best way for us to react."
Both Stansfield and Purdie were subbed in the second half. Neither looked fully fit. Carey-Bertram and Green took their places. Lee Mills was not in the squad. It is assumed he is still suffering from a bug.
Tom Smith was also absent. Unconfirmed rumours suggest he might have walked out.
Meanwhile the gate was 3645, just two less than the Aldershot match which was the highest so far this season.
