United defeat Harriers in Reserve fixture

Hereford United's Reserve team won 2-1 last night against Kidderminster Harrier's Reserves. The team consisted of several players on the fringes of the first team including Ben Scott, Danny Carey-Bertram, Andy Williams and Mark Robinson.

Carey-Bertram gave United the lead in the tenth minute after a good run by Williams and a cut back where Carey-Bertram knocked the ball over Steve Parker at the far post. Ben Scott then kept United in the lead at the other end saving well with his legs from James Olsen.

Jermaine Hollis got to the byline on the right and found the run of Frederic Advice-Desruisseuax who tucked the ball inside the near post for the equaliser. Hereford were back in front within a minute though, thanks to Williams. A corner wasn't cleared properly by Harriers and a ball into the area found Williams who had the easy task of slotting the ball beyond Parker.

Scott helped keep Harriers at bay in the second half when he was forced into making several saves as Kidderminster dominated. Harriers skimmed the bar in one of many attempts of beating Scott. Late on, Matt Barnes-Homer could have killed the game off, but he dragged his shot across the face of the goal and Andy Williams was substituted due to a back injury.
