Stride may play with mask
Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough has said that Darren Stride may play tomorrow with his injury protected by a specially-made mask, providing the match referee Andy Turner has no objection.
"We've spoken to the Conference to make them aware of Darren's situation," Clough told the Burton Mail.
"The referee always has the final say in these circumstances, but we don't anticipate any problems. Darren is in the 16 and hopefully he'll feel up to starting the game. He has trained with the mask on twice this week and is starting to feel comfortable with it."
As Bulls News reported earlier, Burton have several players out with injuries, so Stride's likely return to Albion's starting line-up at Edgar Street means Clough is just able to scramble a squad together.
Clough added: "Hereford are one of the form teams again. Their new players seem to have settled in and they have won four on the bounce.
"The circumstances are the same as our game there last season and the one at Barnet a couple of weeks ago, and we would definitely settle for the same result."
