Stanley confident about defeating Burton

Craig Stanley is confident that the Bulls can defeat Burton Albion tomorrow despite them gaining a double over the Bulls last season. He thinks that it is quite possible that Hereford could move above Barnet if results go the right way.

"Everything has gone well since the Gravesend result. We've played good football, won our games and picked up maximum points," Stanley told the Evening News.

"It was important that we improved our home form and the wins against Scarborough and Aldershot were massive results for us. It's going to be tough against Burton because they are a good side but we have definitely got the players to beat them.

"We've got a very strong squad and that keeps everybody on their toes. All the players want to be part of the team because things are going well.

"The squad is good enough for us to challenge for promotion. We proved against Scunthorpe with our performance that a lot of the players are capable of playing at a higher level."

Meanwhile it is reported that the Burton Albion captain, Darren Stride, may take a part in tomorrow's game. The Burton News and Mail states that Stride is set for a brave Burton Albion comeback tomorrow less than two weeks after an operation to repair his shattered cheekbone.
