Transfer list released
The PFA Transfer Directory (Pro-Footballers) has been published. Currently it lists about 400 players looking for new clubs and will be updated with more players as clubs decide who to retain and who to allow to leave.
Pro-footballers is the PFA's comprehensive official industry service supplied and developed to support the professional player. The service delivers up to date player profiles, which includes status, career, height, weight and position of every Professional Footballer currently available domestically.
There are two main catagories on the list. The main section is for established players, the vast majority of whom are available on free transfers but there is also a list of younger players, mainly trainees.
Of course not every player who is looking for a new club is listed as there will be some who are probably still trying to agree a new contract at their present club. And there will be others who may prefer to advertise their availability in other ways.
Two Hereford United players, not being retained, are listed, Dean Craven and Robert Betts. And former Bulls loanee, Tamika Mkandawire, recently released by West Bromwich, is also listed, so all the rumours he had moved to Walsall appear to be incorrect.
