Smith pleased to link up with Quinn
Ben Smith has been talking to the Shropshire Star about moving to Shrewsbury and working with manager Jimmy Quinn.
"Jimmy gave me my first chance to play League football when he and Mick Gooding signed me from Arsenal so I owe him a lot for that," said Smith.
"But I suppose he's given me a second chance now and to be honest I can't wait to get cracking with Shrewsbury. I had a couple of better offers financially to go to other clubs but this was the place I wanted to be."
The goalscoring midfielder got into double figures last season despite missing the final two months with a shoulder injury.
