BOLSA set for Red Card game

We have another sweepstake starting up in December, writes BOLSA secretary John Perkins, and the game is based on all 156 Premier League, Football League, Conference and Scottish League clubs. On the designated dates (December 21 2002, January 11 2003, February 22 2003, March 15 2003 and April 19 2003) the earliest player (in minutes after kick off) to be sent off from the above leagues (for the Friday through to the Monday of the weekend) will win for the person who's team he plays for.

The entry fee per game is two pounds ($3.20) or 10 pounds ($16) for all five designated games. Payment can be made via the Netsounds link on the BOLSA website or by sending a cheque to BOLSA, c/o MWPC, 98 Widemarsh Street, Hereford, HR4 9PG. If you want to reserve a team with payment to follow email me at jperkin4@twcny.rr.com. So far Reading, Carlisle United, Gillingham, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Norwich City and Sheffield United are taken. The prize for each game will be 100 pounds - if the winning team has not been chosen then half of the prize will roll over to the next game.

While the rules have been formulated over the last few weeks the winners would have been Torquay United, Halifax Town and this weekend Yeovil very impressively managed a sending off within 15 minutes of the start.

Please join us in making this sweepstakes a success. As with other BOLSA fundraisiers all money will go to the organization for use in funding other schemes or in donations to the club.
