This is how close celebrating Bulls fans' joy could have turned to despair

Millimetres. That's how close Hereford were in being relegated. 

When the full time whistle blew at Edgar Street on Saturday, hundreds of Bulls fans invaded the pitch, thinking that the draw the club had gained against Peterborough Sports was enough.

However, Curzon Ashton were still playing at Alfreton. Having trailed 3-0, the Tameside club clawed it back to 3-3 thanks to Tom Weston's equaliser in the 99th minute.

That was still not enough though as Curzon Ashton had to win. And they almost did. Within a minute, Max Hunt cleared the ball off the line before Adam Barton headed over.

If either of those efforts had gone in, they would have stayed up, and Hereford would instead have gone down. The highlights of the match can be found here
