Chukki Eribenne

Chukki Eribenne has joined Conference promotion pushers Hereford United in a one months loan deal and he’s been given the all clear by Sean O’Driscoll, the Bournemouth manager, to appear in the FA Cup and LDV Vans Trophy for the Bulls, reports the official Bournemouth website.

An attacker born in 1980, Eribenne has struggled to maintain a first team place at Bournemouth since joining the club just over two years ago and has not scored a senior goal since his debut against Bristol Rovers in August 2000. His scoring record in the reserves has been reasonable and the chance of some regular first team football could give him the confidence boost he needs to start scoring in the first team.

Coming on as a substitute against Carlisle, the striker put on a decent show in playing a part in all three goals, but the management and the player himself believe that the move is best for him at the current time. Eribenne’s contract is up at the end of the season and he could face being put further down the pecking order at Bournemouth . It is reported that Hereford have been after Eribenne for a while now and could make a debut against Halifax tomorrow.
