Buxton have overnight stay for three-hour trip to Hereford

Buxton have enjoyed an overnight stay ahead of this afternoon's National League North match against Hereford.

Despite Edgar Street only being 122 miles from Buxton's The Tarmac Silverlands Stadium, or just under three hours, the full-time outfit travelled south on Friday.

They trained at Redditch United's The Valley Stadium, where Hereford hosted Scarborough in February.

Buxton said: "Huge thanks to Redditch United FC who have allowed us to use their facilities today for a fantastic session on our way to Hereford for tomorrow’s The National League North fixture."

Redditch said: "We were delighted to welcome a special visitor to the Valley Stadium today as Johnny Johnston (JJ) returned to the club, training with his current side, Official Buxton Football Club, ahead of their league fixture against Hereford FC tomorrow.

"It was great to host the squad and spend time catching up with manager CV John McGrath, who was also celebrating his birthday today 🎉
