Three Players Joining Hereford On Tuesday

Hereford manager Paul Caddis has said that three players will join the squad this week.

In an interview with BBC H&W sports editor Trevor Owens, Caddis gave details of how trying to find additions to the squad have been going.

"Like everyone we've had targets we've missed out on so we've gone on to the next one, we've missed out on them.

"We agreed a couple of players, two persons from the same club on loan and then there was a bit of an issue in terms of that one of them had struggled with driving, I won't go into too much detail but one of them hadn't passed his test in time but we managed to get around that.

"We've agree on three players at the moment who will come in on Tuesday, game or training. We've agreed on that.

"We've got offers out left, right and center, the market is crazy as it always is but now January has opened up as well everyone is in the market not just other non-league clubs.

"We're looking at strikers, wingers, midfielders, right across the board.

"With the fixture pile-up we are probably going to have to bring more in than I probably wanted to. Probably six, seven, may be even eight players in the next, I don't mean bringing eight in straight away.

"We've also lost a lot of players through decisions that are made, that had to be made because we had to try and get some money back into the budget.

"As the chairman rightly said many times we don't have people who can give us £50K to do as you please, we have to manipulate our own money in the budget and we've done really well although we've left ourselves short. I absolutely get that.

"I had to do it to try and refresh the place up and I think it's got to be seen as a positive, I won't just sit here, I understand it's not been good enough for the first four, five months of the season."

"We have actively moved people on so we can get some fresh people into the squad.

"There will probably still be one or two who will leave, however they won't leave until we get four or five in.

"So there will be a bit of change."
