Game Abandoned At Sporting Khalsa

This afternoon's FA Cup tie between Sporting Khalsa and Hereford was abandoned half way through the second half after the Sporting Khalsa keeper appeared to be abused by one or more Hereford 'supporters'.

Keeper Ravan Constable called over the referee and spoke to him before going behind the goal in front of visiting supporters.

Later he ran off the pitch and tried to make his way down through the main stand presumably towards the away fans but was restrained by fellow players.

Shortly after both teams walked off the pitch and into the dressing room. The officals talked to the managers and players and a decision was made to abandon the game.

A report is expected to be sent to the FA who will then decide what action to take.

It seems likely that the game will be replayed on Tuesday evening. Whether that will be behind closed doors remains to be decided.
