With Hereford in or around the play-offs it's hoped gates will remain good for the rest of the season.
If so, and even more so if Hereford are in the play-offs, the finances will look better than last May when funds were down to £6,000.
"We hope so," said manager Paul Caddis.
"If the attendances stay there then we hope to be in a more competitive situation next year in terms of budgets and things like that.
"But that's out of my hands, that's down to the chairman and the board to decide.
"We know the players have been a mass of positive on the football club this year.
"I know how difficult it was when I first came in, I didn't realise it was quite as bad at first as it was to be honest.
"I don't think anyone did until the new chairman got his teeth into it. We understand it's been really difficult.
"It's been frustrating at times, when you try and sign a player and then at the last minute someone at step three can offer them more money, or someone in this division can offer them more money, or can offer something we can't.
"Average attendances have been thrashed through the roof so hopefully we'll reap the benefits next year.
"There's probably seven or eight players we would like to keep for next year, the boys have come in and done excellent so they going to want more money, I absolutely understand that, they deserve more money.
"So we need to have a better idea of where the budget is going to be next year before we go and commit to signing eight players on an extra £50/£60/£70/£80/£100 a week and then before you know it you've signed eight players and you still need ten for next week and you haven't got enough.
"It's something the board are in discussion about and we're obviously trying to get an answer as soon as we possibly can.
"For me as a manager I would have liked to have done it by now and we would have liked to announce some boys for next year.
"We don't want another rebuild, we think we've got a nucleus of the squad here who can be competitve hence why we are still in the situation we are.
"It's something we have looked at."
