Babos agrees deal for next season after interest from other clubs

Alex Babos has signed a deal for next season
Hereford midfielder Alex Babos has signed a deal to keep him at Edgar Street until the end of next season.

Manager Paul Caddis said it was important for Babos' deal to be extended because there has been interest from other clubs, including deals which would have been better financially.

He joined Hereford from Banbury United last summer and has currently made 45 appearances, scoring 11 goals - and created around a dozen more.

Calling him exceptional, Caddis told the official club website: "He has been a huge factor in what’s been a brilliant season for the group so far and we are really excited to be working with Alex again for next season.

“It was vitally important we got ‘Babs’ tied down as there was a lot of interest coming his way – some of it better financially – so for him to want to stay with us speaks volumes of where he sees himself under the current management and his happiness at our football club."

Babos said he has loved every minute since arriving at Edgar Street so it was a "no-brainer".
