Rushall Made It Tough For Us Said Cranston

Hereford defender Jordan Cranston admitted that Rushall had made it tough for the Bulls last night. Hereford won the game 1-0 thanks to a penalty scored by Cranston who was also given the man of the match award.

"They definitely made it tough for us," said Cranston.

"They've been on a good run of form, they got a good result at Curzon at the weekend.

"They were a threat. You can tell by today that first half they did cause us problems with their movement in midfield and we did reign a few of their chances at times but I thought we dealt with it.

"Going into the second half I thought we just had to work a little bit harder, round around a bit more, stop their chances which I thought we did and defend the goal well, Pondy making saves as usual again.

"It was that crucial goal in the first half that settled our nerves as well."

Rushall controlled the midfield for large parts of the first half.

"We did look at the way they play, they do have that rotating midfield.

"They do have Jake Gosling who has played in the League as well, he's got good experience. And a few good technical players as well, good wide men who like to attack, full backs who can bomb on.

"We tried to stop that threat, we tried to counter attack them quickly which led to the penalty.

"I thought we dug deep and took that into the ninety minutes and got the three points."
