Adam Rooney missed to convert a penalty yesterday but luckily Hereford scored just afterwards.
Afterwards manager Paul Caddis spoke about Rooney and his role at the club.
"He probably feels it (missing the penalty) more than he normally would because he's part of the staff as well.
"He's a vital part on and off the pitch.
"He's a manager on the pitch and it makes my job so much easier because he's constantly organising.
"He's not a rapid striker, he's never been rapid and that's not me doing him a dis-service, he's been an instinctive goal-scorer.
"He plays that little bit deeper now and brings other people into the game and talks to Cowley and talks to the men behind him.
"He's been my best signing."
Was it a penalty?
"I think so, yes.
"I think it was clever from Alex.
"He picks up a good position, anticipates, gets that touch.
"You've got to be careful in the box these days but thankfully in front of the brilliant support as well we've managed to get the penalty."
