Hereford FC's new kitman ready for first home friendly

Hereford's new kitman has shared pictures of the Edgar Street home dressing room which is ready for today's friendly against West Brom's under-21s.

After the end of last season, the backroom team assembled by Josh Gowling and inherited by interim boss Yan Klukowski left Edgar Street.

That included Malcolm Cowell, the kitman who had previously been physio at Hereford United during the expunged 2014/15 season when the club was wound-up.

The club said he had been offered a full-time position elsewhere but would continue in his role as head of women’s football at Edgar Street. He's now believed to be at Solihull Moors.

Meanwhile, at Edgar Street, Dan Pace has been getting stuck into the role.

He's no stranger, having previously worked with the club on a number of projects as an electrician.

Over the summer, he and the Radio Hereford FC team improved the PA system in the Meadow End.

Pace removed six loudspeakers from the Blackfriars End and, after refurbishment and testing by the radio team, put them along the Meadow End.

"This will greatly improve the safety of supporters and enhance the match day experience," the club said.

Previously, he also installed a defibrillator on the wall outside the Executive Club free of charge.

It was also with the help of an anonymous donor as well as Point to Point Service, the group which provides medical cover for matches.
