Hereford's new assistant manager Adam Rooney has said fans need to see players giving their all on the pitch.
In his first interview since joining the club, he said the club needs players who will give 100 per cent.
The 35-year-old striker, who was at play-off finalists Brackley last season, will also be registered as a player.
Speaking to the club's YouTube channel, he said the atmosphere at Edgar Street was one of the main reasons players have signed.
Describing the type of player he is, Rooney said he has become more of a link player, one that runs in behind and is more involved in the build-up, trying to organise on the pitch and trying to help.
He also said standards have been set.
Aurio Teixeira has also spoken ahead of the first pre-season friendly on Saturday.
