Hereford FC chairman Chris Ammonds has said that finding a new manager is his priority.
"That's got to be the priority in the first instance," said Ammonds in an interview with BN.
"I've got a lot to learn, a lot of things to try and take on board.
"We've got to try and get a manager in ideally as soon as we can but it might take a little bit of time because applications closed yesterday and we've had a decent amount of interest, some interesting names to look through and wade through. So we'll try and do that over the next couple of days and hopefully form a short list.
"In terms of time scales we then need to check people's availibility, so I'm not going to put a time scale on it.
"In an ideal world you would like whoever you appoint to be able to see this squad play so they can make some decisions but I can't tie us to a time scale because you don't know what the availibility of people is going to be like for interviews and that type of thing."
Ammonds was asked whether some people who previously applied might be interviewed again.
"Potentially but I wasn't part of the previous process so that's something I will talk to other people about who were involved.
"Graham Turner has agreed to play a part in it again this time which is really good. You can't buy football experience like he's got so it's great he has agreed to take part again.
"We've got to try and get the manager selection correct. You can't make any guarantees, you are always a hostage to fortune in terms of who you appoint.
"But we will do all we can to get the very best candidate, get them appointed and hopefully drive us forward."
How will the process work? Will there be a small group of you?
"Again that's to be decided but that's the process that happened last time and I think we'll look at doing a very similar thing this time. We'll sit down and talk about that over the next couple of days.
"I've only been in the job two and a half hours, I haven't had the time to plan anything yet!"
Total coincidence that former manager Peter Beadle was with Keith Hall for BBC Hereford and Worcester in the press area.
"I'm hoping he doesn't do too good a job along side Keith because that's been my role a few times this season.
"I did warn him, I saw him earlier, that he hasn't got much to live up to because I've done that job a few times.
"It was great to see Pete, I've always got on great with him, I'm sure Keith will have an entertaining afternoon with him."
Do you think Beadle has or might apply for the manager's position?
"I deliberately have not asked him because I did not want to get involved in that conversation.
"That's a question for him not for me."
