Alfreton have been on a good run of form but they lost 2-1 last Tuesday at home against Curzon Ashton.
Manager Billy Heath felt there had been no lack of effort or desire from his players but thought they had been 'a little bit leggy second half.'
"But what we have to do pick ourselves up and start again," he said speaking after Tuesday's game.
"Hereford have had a good result tonight.
"They seemed to have changed a few things since the loss of the manager.
"It's a difficult place Hereford, always is.
"There will be a big crowd, a loud crowd. They get very good gates.
"Let's just hope we have a referee who can actually deal with something."
