Bulls chairman steps down

Hereford chairman Jon Hale has stepped down 'for personal reasons'.

In a statement, Hale said: “I have made this difficult decision after careful consideration for a variety of personal reasons. I have been honoured to serve as Chairman for a second time, and thank everyone who has supported the Board and club in that time.

“We have the best supporters in the land, and I hope the club will go on to thrive and achieve the success it deserves for us all.

“To the staff and volunteers – you are the real heroes for your total commitment, passion and sheer graft to the benefit of our fantastic club.

“See you in the stands as I continue to support Hereford FC as I always will. Thank you everyone.”

Hale was Hereford FC's first chairman in 2015 and saw the club gain two promotions in its first two seasons, as well as a trip to Wembley in the FA Vase Final.

However, he stepped down in October 2016 because a new commercial venture that he was launching in the sports retail industry would 'cause a conflict in interests'.

He later returned to the club as a second spell as chairman in June 2021.
