After Hereford's 4-2 victory at Boston yesterday, manager Josh Gowling spoke to the local media. The Bulls scored their four goal inside 15 minutes but Boston got one back before the break and put a lot of pressure on the visitors in the second half.
"We didn't particulaly want to play that way in the end but when you go four goals up like we did we had to sit in," said Gowling.
"Credit to the lads we worked on set plays in training on Thursday and we scored two of them.
"Obviously Orrin has come back in as well and I thought he was outstanding, Aaron played centre half as well and I thought he was outstanding as well. To a man the lads put an absolute shift in so really pleased.
"You want to keep a clean sheet and their penalty was one of them and they've scored one but I think as a whole they had quite a lot of possession.
"I thought our two midfielders got on the toes of their centre halves and we won our aerial drills which was the main things.
"And their two strikers were quite small so we knew if we could get them to go direct then we would win that. We stuck to the game plan."
