Tom Owen-Evans spoke to the local media after yesterday's game at Fylde. The first question was how did he score Hereford's goal?
"Haines played the ball over the top," said Owen-Evans.
"I saw the keeper was off his line so I thought I would just hit it straight away, a half volley.
"The crowd behind the goal were cheering, thinking it had gone over, but it dipped under the bar.
"All the boys were hammering me but I thought as soon as I hit it I thought it was in, or it had a chance at least.
"I think the Gaffer was shouting on the bench, I think he was a bit happier when it bounced in.
"Nice to get a goal like that."
Manager Josh Gowling also spoke about the goal. He was asked how shocked he was when the ball went in.
"I was battering him. What is he doing?
"Even when it went in I thought it went behind the goal.
"He said he meant it. That's the quality Toey has got."
